Join us for 2 solid months of Beginning Horsemanship.

From 6:30a – 9:30a, Monday thru Friday, students will enjoy a set of daily duties at the ranch which include: morning feeding, cleaning stalls, horse care and daily fun. (Tuition includes an art program & daily snack).

Tombstone: SALUTE TO THE BUFFALO SOLDIERS Parade

Parade with the Buffalo Soldiers, Endurance Trail Riding and Camping Trip

Join Robinson Ranch for a weekend of fun, food, history, shootout skits, parade of Buffalo Soldiers and more in TOMBSTONE, AZ. We will be heading to Tombstone on the 24th, 25th and 26th June 2016.

A celebration to salute the Buffalo Soldiers sponsored by the Wild West Detachment Marine tombstone buffalo soldiers parardeCorps League and the Merchants of the City of Tombstone. This celebration includes street entertainment, a parade, and many other events to be announced starting at 10:00 a.m. each day and conclude at approximately 4:00 p.m.

Robinson Ranch will be opening the Arizona Black Rodeo for both shows, 1:00pm and 7:00pm, at Raw Hide.

This event highlights local and national African American rodeo competitors. There will be two shows 1:00pm and 7:00pm with Robinson Ranch opening the festivities! The event will be featuring bull riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, steer undecorating, barrel racing and the crowd favorite calf scramble for the little ones.

This Chandler rodeo is held at Rawhide Western Town and hosted by of Arizona.

Bring the entire family and experience one of the one of the best shows on dirt.  Arizona Black Rodeo is fun for the entire family.

Come early and enjoy concessions and vendors.

2016 Mesa MLK Parade & Goldfield Ghost Town

Join Robinson Ranch at The 2016 Mesa MLK Parade, followed by an afternoon at Goldfield Ghost Town!

Be sure you have completed the parade participant paperwork located in the ranch office.

If you plan to ride a horse, be sure to verify transportation arrangements. We will travel to the parade together caravan style.

Special Olympics 2015 at Robinson Ranch

Robinson Ranch is excited to announce  … we are rolling out our Special Olympics Equestrian Team!!!

Our Special Olympics Equestrian Team will provide equine sports training and competition horseback riding for those with intellectual disabilities and we are proudly associated with Special Olympics Arizona (SOAZ).  All volunteers will be certified through the State office and we will utilize the State’s requirements/policies, forms and insurance to maintain a safe environment for our riders.
We are currently recruiting committed volunteers to assist with Special Olympics events to be held on Sunday, November 15th and Saturday, December 5th. We are seeking individuals interested in helping with administrationfundraising and working one on one with the client as side-walkers, horse handlers, and horse leaders.

Class A Volunteer Application (all volunteers)

Volunteers working one on one with our clients must fill out the Special Olympics Arizona Class A Volunteer Application (attached).  Once complete, you may turn this in with your Robinson Ranch Volunteer Application (if your application is more than 1 year old, you must RESUBMIT it) at our main office.  Please list Robinson Ranch as your delegation, Tanya Splets as the contact and Coach as your area of interest.
Additionally, all volunteers (whether you work with the client or not) must complete the Special Olympics Arizona General Orientation Quiz and the Special Olympics Protective Behaviors Training Course.

8th Annual Neighborhood Halloween Party & Hayride

Join us for the Robinson Ranch 8th Annual Neighborhood Halloween Party and Hayride!

 

DATE: Saturday, October 31, 2015
TIMES: Neighborhood Halloween Party begins at 4:30pm.  Hayride start at about 6:15pm
LOCATION : Robinson Ranch – 1231 East Ardmore, Phoenix, AZ  85042

There will be food, games, costume contests, prizes and more! Lots of Spooky, creepy, ghoulish things are in the works! Also, kids will trick-or-treat and go through a neighborhood Haunted house as part of the tractor-drawn hayride.

VOLUNTEER NEEDS (All volunteers MUST be in costume)

Flyer Distribution: (5 people needed) – If you would like to spend about a half hour of your own time walking the neighborhood or taking flyers to local businesses, we could use your help.
Decorating:  (5 people needed) – We need help decorating the trailers, tractors and entire ranch. We need 1 person the week prior, Saturday October24 th at 9:30 am to work with 25 ASU students and an additional 4 people to help decorate Friday evening October 30th around 5pm. We have mostly all the décor we need, however, if you would like to donate spider webbing, we could use as much of that as we can get.

Prizes: We would love to have a variety of prizes for the kids on Halloween!  If you can donate a prize, please let us know.

Halloween Day (October 31, 2014)

 
Hayrides: (4 people needed)-We need personnel to ride on the wagon, collect the speed pass receipts and make sure the kids & adults are safe    be on site at 5pm.
Games: (5 people needed)-1 person per 2 game stations. Be on site at about 3:00 pm to help set up game stations
o    Human Spiderweb Game (yarn needed)
o    Mummy wrap (toilet paper needed)
o    Zombie sores (toilet paper, Elmer’s  glue & paint needed)
o    Witches Stew (straws, construction paper cutouts, bowls)
o    Musical Tombstones (Folding chairs decorated as tombstones, tape recorder with creepy music)
o    Apple bobbing
o    Costume contest
Master of Ceremonies(MC): (1-2 people needed) to make announcements, give away prizes, run costume contest, etc…. and stay with the PA system as needed (keep the music going, etc).
Food: (2 People for cooking and serving at the grill & 1 person to collect the donations to be there at 3:30pm) We are asking a $.25 donation for hotdogs, $.25 for chips and $.25 for small bottles of water.
Food: If you can donate hot dogs/buns, condiments, charcoal/lighter fluid, paper good, glasses, utensils, candy for games, chips, bottled water (the tiny bottles), or any other Halloween treat, that would be wonderful!  Please bring food by 3:30pm.

Cleanup: (5 People needed from 7-10pm)

Cash Donations: If you know of any business that would like to donate cash, or you would like to help, please contact John at 602-268-4972. The rental of the tractor and other costs are high and any little bit will help!
