Thank you for inquiring about Volunteer opportunities at Robinson Ranch. Volunteers are the cornerstone of what we do and we wouldn’t\u00a0be where we are without you!<\/p>\n
If you are interested in volunteering at Robinson Ranch here are few steps to take:<\/strong><\/p>\n Once we receive your application, you will be scheduled for a volunteer orientation which is typically help once a month (Robinson Ranch is authorized by DPS to conduct onsite fingerprinting). The fingerprinting will cost the volunteer $10 which can be by check, credit, or cash.\u00a0<\/strong>At the end of orientation, you are scheduled for volunteer shifts based on your availability and our need.<\/p>\n Some of the available tasks and descriptions are listed below:<\/em><\/p>\n Grant Writing\/Marketing\/Fundraising Barn Helper \/Grounds Management<\/strong>\n
\n<\/strong>This ongoing position assists staff write and submit grant applications, plans and coordinates fundraising events and works to help staff with special events. Flexible hours, work from home or in office.<\/p>\n
\nThis ongoing volunteer position assists the barn manager with various horse care and barn chores and basic grounds keeping. Helpers also assist with preparing horses for lessons (grooming, tacking etc.) and assisting instructors set up arenas or other jobs as needed. Skills and Requirements: Must be at least 14 years of age and not afraid of horses. Horse experience or work with disabled individuals is not required, but is a plus.

\nTHINGS TO DO (A.M. shift)
\n<\/strong>– Turn out horses based on the let out schedule in the Gazebo
\n– Feed small animals (cats, pig, roosters, chickens, ducks)
\n– Feed the horses, sheep and goats
\n– Clean stalls, paddocks and arena
\n– Check, clean and fill (if needed) automatic waterers and water barrels
\n– Groom and\/or exercise horses (only for experienced volunteers or those learning with a lead volunteer)
\n– Sign out for the morning
\n
\nTHINGS TO DO (P.M. shift)
\n<\/strong>– Feed the horses, sheep and goats
\n– Clean stalls, paddocks and arena
\n– Check, clean and fill (if needed) automatic waterers and water barrels
\n– Groom and\/or exercise horses (only for experienced volunteers or those learning with a lead volunteer)
\n– Sign out for the evening<\/p>\n
